Marriage, Divorce & Remarriage

Text: Mark 10:1-10; Matthew 19:1-12

The subjects of marriage, divorce and remarriage have proven difficult and contentious. Many have sought to bring differing interpretations to the table in an effort to make the words of Jesus more palatable to our present culture. That is wrong. In this lesson we look carefully at what Jesus said on the subject. We address some common re-interpretations in an effort to arrive at the truth. This lesson should be viewed as an overview only. Many of the different teachings are very convoluted and require more than just a passing nod.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a fascinating topic for many. It was something that occurred in the first century but not since. Because this is a topic of great interest to many it seemed wise to present a lesson about it as well.

Radical Christianity

Sometimes we need to get radical with our thinking. The price of the cross is too high, the consequences are too grave and the blessings are too lofty to be ignored. In this text Jesus issues a solemn reminder of just how important the true Christian life really is.
